Wrongo this article is. Super Mario World is NOT the only game where Troopas wear Blue Shells. In Mario vs. Luigi mode of New Super Mario Bros., a Koopa is wearing one in the winter course.

IDK how it happened, but one day i was doing a grand prix and it was on Yoshi's Circuit in MKDD, anyway i think i was drifting when it happend, but someohw it flew ahead of me and flew in the ground (I WAS in 1st) Blue KoopC

You can dodge them in Mario Kart Wii by using a speedup right before it hits you. Although it's almost impossible to get a mild mushroom in first place.
