I know I came in randomly, but you can edit numerous file types with paint. Paint is most commonly used with bitmaps (.bmp) and such (gif, png, etc.). Hope that answers your question.

Please stop reverting my edits to re-include "he/she" (i.e. on the Super Smash Bros.
