Toads from one of the issues in the Nintendo Comics System.

The Nintendo Comics System series, published by Valiant Comics, made comic books of many Nintendo characters from different series, including Mario, The Legend of Zelda and Captain N. They were quite humorous, and featured special little pages like "Ask Princess Toadstool" and fake advertisements, like one for Koopa Kola. Below is a comprehensive list of titles.
