Sandbird

Sandbirds are birds made out of sand. There eggs need extreme sunlight and take one hundred years to hatch.

A Sandbird appears in Super Mario Sunshine in the Gelato Beach course. The first few levels of Gelato Beach revolve around helping the sandbird hatch and collecting Red Coins on its back.
