Hoofer the Wildebeest.
Hoofer the Wildebeest is a large black, yellow and red wildebeest and one of Donkey Kong's Animal Buddies.
The first appearance of Hoofer was in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, here he has abilities similar to Rambi the Rhino. Hoofer can smash through enemies and barriers with ease, also at the end of a level if Hoofer touches a pile vof fruit he will perform a gigantic leap which can give Donkey Kong a certain number of beats depending on the distance travelled.

- In Donkey Kong Jungle Beat's British manual Hoofer is known as "Mooshin".
