! Blocks found are Super Mario World. They are at first invisible, but after Mario or Luigi hits one of the ! Switches at the Switch Palaces, they become ! Blocks which contain various power-ups, such as Fire Flowers or Yoshi Eggs.

In Super Mario 64, ! Blocks come in four different colours. Yellow ones contain coins, Stars, 1-Up Mushrooms, or Koopa shells. Red ones contain the Wing Cap, blues the Vanish Cap, and greens the Metal Cap. All except the yellow kind must be activated by activating the corresponding ! Switch.
