Super Mario Momotarō is the first of the Super Mario anime series. Based on Japanese fairy tale Momotarō, it was released only in Japan.
Plot
Two elderly Hammer Bros. are grandparents to a beautiful girl, Princess Peach. However, she is so beautiful, she eventually gets kidnapped by the evil Bowser. The grandparents have no hope for her to return and start to feel very lonely. That's when a giant Peach (the fruit) falls from the sky and splits into halves. It reveals a baby-boy (Mario) in the inside. The grandparents decide, to raise the boy as their own child. Many years pass and one day, Mario decides to set off to free the beautiful girl from Bowser's claws. His foster-parents arm him with mushrooms and a gun. On the way, he meets a para-beetle, a Boomerang Bro. and a Spike, who join him on his quest. Eventually, he reaches the monsters castle and a grand battle starts. The four friends work together and manage to imprison Bowser and his Koopalings. They take Peach and Bowser's treasure for themselves and return happily home.
