A Comet Medal

Comet Metals are a new type of item first appearing in Super Mario Galaxy 2. They appear to be white coins with a golden lining and a picture of a golden comet imprinted in them. Comet Metals unlock newer and harder levels, similar ot Star Coins in New Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. However, Comet Metals are usually found in hard to reach places. One of the galaxies unlocked via Comet Metals is the Flip-Swap Galaxy.
