Template:MLinfobox Anuboos are enemies appearing in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Mario and Luigi confront them in Teehee Valley after visiting Little Fungitown. Anuboos are black in color, except for their bright red eyes. They shoot out laser beams at the Mario Bros. Before attacking, the Anuboo will take the shape of either Mario or Luigi and then attack the brother it transformed into. The attack can be dodged by jumping.
Anuboos are named after Anubis, a jackal-headed Egyptian god whom they bear some resemblance to, as well as Boos, because of their ghost-like characteristics and abilities. The word "Boo" in their name may also be derived from the exclamation "Boo!", which connects to their shifty nature.
