The Waste Basket is used in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars to throw away unwanted items. In the game, Mario can only hold twenty-nine items. As such, if Mario is carrying the maximum amount of items and picks up a new item, he must decide which item needs to be discarded. The description is: "You can throw away unwanted items". However, you can't throw away important items. Selling your unwanted items is better than just throwing them away, since you get Coins back. The Waste Basket is avalible from the very start of the game.
