The Rock Mushroom is an item that will appear in the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy 2. When collected, he becomes a rock form of himself, and it gives Mario the ability to encase himself in a boulder (by shaking the Wii Remote).[1] In this form, Mario can roll around (and jump too), damaging enemies and big red crystals with items inside them. If Mario hits any crystal or certain enemy, he will revert to his rock form, but players can always return to his boulder form by shaking the Wii Remote again.[2] The Rock Mushroom will play a major role in Boulder Bowl Galaxy.
