- Nintendo has announced their next portable Nintendo 3DS. The new handheld game platform will feature a 3-D display that does not require the use of glasses. It will be released in Japan before March 2011.
- The creator of the Mario franchise, Shigeru Miyamoto (pictured) has been selected as candidate for the Príncipe de Asturias award 2010 in Spain.
- The Nintendo DSi XL was released in Europe on March 5, 2010, available in wine red and dark brown color. In North America it will be released on March 28.
