Frog Pirate

A Frog Pirate from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
Although they are frogs, they're not pirates. Frog Pirates live in the swamps and wetlands on Yoshi's Island in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. If a Yoshi comes too close to one, it will lash out it's tongue and steal Baby Mario. Stepping on its head only disables it for a moment, instead, try throwing an Egg.
The World 3 mid-boss Prince Froggy, swallows a Yoshi whole. He's the only major Frog Pirate known.
In Yoshi's Island DS, there are creatures that are reminiscent of Frog Pirates, but look and act differently. They are called Fleepers.
