Merge to Tubba Blubba

Template:SettledTPP NO MERGE 5-0

The two are essentially the same character with the only true division being they are different stages of the same fight. It would serve Tubba Blubba's article far more to have this as a section. Redstar 12:30, 30 November 2009 (EST)

Merge to Tubba Blubba

Leave un-merged

  1. Tucayo (talk) - Per Tucayo
  2. Fawfulfury65 (talk) Uh... Per Tucayo..? Yeah.
  3. Zero777 (talk) I am Zero! I'm leaning more to the oppose because Tubba Blubba's Heart is more like a seperate character. Zero signing out.
  4. Gamefreak75 (talk) Tubba's heart is a different character. Different stats and is more like the boss of the chapter than Tubba himself.
  5. Bloc Partier (talk) -- It functions as a separate character.

In that acse we should merge Mario's face with Mario --TucayoSig.png The 'Shroom 13:45, 30 November 2009 (EST)

What? Redstar 21:24, 30 November 2009 (EST)
He's stating (I think) that since the Mario Head article is part of MArio, it should be merged with the MArio article.--FREAK ~Game GameBros.png Freak~ OUT!
Per GF TucayoSig.png And there are many more examples
Oh, that? I don't believe that applies here, because "Mario's Face" isn't strictly Mario himself, but an avatar or gameplay mechanic aside from Mario's character. They serve two very different purposes. Tubba Blubba's heart, however, is considered by Tubba Blubba himself to be a part of him (even so far "him" himself, even) and Tattling Tubba Blubba with and without the heart results in a different speech. They're the same character, just different stages of the same battle. Redstar 21:36, 30 November 2009 (EST)

I quote you "Tattling Tubba Blubba with and without the heart results in a different speech." That, they are different enemies. They have their own mind and that --TucayoSig.png The 'Shroom 10:05, 1 December 2009 (EST)

My point was that given the fact the Tattle description changes before and after, it suggests that the two are inextricably bound. They are different stages of the same battle, much the same way Lava Piranha has two rounds: normal, and on fire. Yet with that article we don't see the two stages divided into two different enemies, despite the fact both rounds elicit different Tattle descriptions... Actually, looking into the Paper Mario bosses reveals the majority have minions and mini-forms of themselves that are only fought in battle with the boss itself, and have Tattles saying they are part of the same character. Would you be averse to me making this a proposal, since I feel this proposed merge would effect the other bosses? Redstar 10:47, 1 December 2009 (EST)
You are in your right to make a proposal, however, i see this page to be different from other bosses. Lets take some examples, Lava Piranha, it has 2 stages it is the same enemy, just with a "power-up" same with the Master, Bowser, Jr Troopa, and more. Enemies like this, or like the Koopa Bros are different, we have a page for both Koopa Bros. and Bowser??? Because they are 2 different enemies. Tubba and his heart are the same thing, they are 2 different life beings, because tubba can live without his heart. Quote "After defeating Tubba Blubba's sentient and mobile heart, which controlled Tubba Blubba's body" The heart controlled Tubba, therefore, Tubba is different from the heart. --TucayoSig.png The 'Shroom 12:41, 1 December 2009 (EST)

I'll be making a proposal, then. I'll explain more clearly my view on this there, but for now that quote from the article speculative. Yes, the heart is sentient, but it didn't "control" Tubba Blubba. The whole thing is speculative, really, but hopefully I'll make a case one way or the other that you can get a better idea of what I'm getting at. Redstar 13:45, 1 December 2009 (EST)

It is basically part of him so it should be merged User:Yoshionfire
Yes, that's my logic, but as you can see I've held off on voting on my own proposal. I've done that for a reason... I think we should wait until we get more in-game evidence. Personally, I feel it all depends on what NPCs, especially Tubba himself, says about the heart. Do they treat it like a different character, or as something that belongs to Tubba? Or a mixture of both, such as Tubba saying "My heart has a jerky personality." Redstar 16:04, 18 December 2009 (EST)
