World 5 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)

Template:Worldbox Toxic Forest is the fifth world of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The levels are all forest themed featuring poisonous water. Bramble vines block some of the paths. hey will occasionally change positions. There are eight levels in this world, two of them being castle levels that are guarded by Iggy Koopa, and one being a Ghost House. Various Mushroom Houses are also found around here, giving the player items such as Starmans, Mushrooms, and Propeller Mushrooms. On the map, there are Stalking Piranha Plants. Mario and the gang can get attacked by and be forced to play in the Enemy Course. There are a total of 3 Enemy Courses in the area. Also, once Iggy has been defeated in the castle, the bramble patches will disappear completely.

Levels

5-1

This is the first level in World 5. It introduces the Stalking Piranha Plant and the River Piranha Plant. It contains very large Koopa Shells, some of which, Mario can enter and find secrets. While most of this level takes place on land, a portion of it it over a body of water. There are many swinging vines the player can use to travel over gaps and Stalking Piranha Plants. Fire Mario is very helpful in this level.

5-2

This level starts off with a number of wigglers. You then progress through a green warp pipe into an underground area filled with large wigglers and toxic purple liquid. The wigglers are also necessary to reach some of the star coins.

5-3 Toxic Log Rolling

This level on the over world shows a log on toxic water, but in the level there is only 2 or 3 logs. The level is infested with Bramball s and you need to avoid them without falling off logs or land into the toxic goop.

World 5 Fortress

This level has Mario travelling across the toxic liquid on a wooden plank. Creatures including piranha plants, goombas, koopa-troopa and bob-ombs will land on it, causing the numders on it to increase from 0 up until 5 in which at which it turns red and stops. To make the plank start again, the player has to remove the enemies off of the board so that there are less than five.

World 5 Ghost House

The third ghost house in the game. Common ghost house enemies can be found, including boos. It is possible to find a secret exit that will take Mario and company to the world 5 cannon. This cannon shoots Mario to world 8, Bowser's Volcano.

5-5

This level has the player jumping across the screen on the backs of giant green mantarays. For the most of this level, the player has to avoid bullet bills and can't touch the ground as they're in the sky. The player is also given Propeller boxes which become useful as a lot of the level is also covered in clouds.

5-6

Enemy Course

Mario and Co. start on a plattform above four plattforms on which the Stalking Piranha Plants walk. There are moving platforms directly over them on which the players can jump on to collect the Toad Balloons. They have to be careful, though, as the Stalking Piranha Plants can still reach them with their head when they stretch it out. All the player has to do is jump over them.
