“What ho...? What is it, son? Do you need something? ...Thanks to you, everyone in Flower Fields can live in peace.”

Wise Wisterwood is a giant tree who oversees everything in the center of Flower Fields in Paper Mario. He is the elder of the fair land who watches over the area.

After Mario gets the fifth Star Spirit, Misstar; the volcano Mario and Kolarado is in starts to erupt as Misstar gets both of them out to safety. Kolarado is sad that the treasure chest in the volcano was said to be gone forever. As of, there is a scene that the treasure is blasted out from the volcano flies and lands in an area in Jade Jungle. The treasure chest contains the precious Volcano Vase that is so priceless. When Mario gives the item back to Kolorado, he became happy that he gives a Magical Seed to Mario. He mentioned that it was a special item but was not interested as he obtained it from a Bub-ulb in the Jade Jungle while exploring. The Magical Seed was the last seed and very important because it would begin Chapter 6. As Before Mario goes back to Toad Town as usual, A Bub-ulb is crying because their home, Flower Fields was terrorized by Huff N. Puff. When Mario gives all the 4 Four Magical Seeds to Minh T. to plant it, the door appears as Mario and his partners can enter the place.

When Mario enters to Flower Fields, Mario hears a voice in the area. The voice is actually a tree. The tree introduces Mario as he is called “Wise Wisterwood”, as he is the oldest tree around Flower Fields. Wise Wister actually knows a lot about Mario as he mentions that he’s attempting to save all the seven Star Sprits all around the world. He is surprised that Mario is attempting to get the sixth Star Sprit, Klevar in this place. He would be glad to help Mario, but he currently can’t help him. He mentions there is a creature named Huff N. Puff who invaded the land with his troops not while ago. As of, he also mentions that these creatures started to bring clouds in the place as it was dark and cloudy; the sun wouldn’t show up in the sky. As off, all the plants are getting weak and slowly fading its existence. After he though he was done, he mentioned that he remembered something as he heard a rumor that Huff N. Puff is currently holding someone captured; as he quickly understands that Mario was getting the Fifth Star Sprit in the place. When Mario is attempting to defeat Huff N. Puff, he mentions that it is not easy as Huff N. Puff is located in the very sky as the plants call the place; Cloudy Climb as there is no way to reach there.

Since Mario can’t reach to Cloudy Climb, Wise Wisterwood quickly mentioned that there is a Magical Bean that can grow a tall beanstalk that would lead to Cloudy Climb. After the sentence he mentioned, he remembered that there is a flower named Petunia that collects Beans and Seeds but doesn’t use them to make them grow. Whenever there is information, he mentioned that Mario can talk to anyone in the place to get useful information. Wise Wisterwood mentioned that he met Koopa Koot during the youth years.
