Evoglobin

Evoglobins appear in the Rump Command part of Bowser's body. They are purple with spiraling, ribbon-like arms. When Mario and Luigi travel there after Bowser has been knocked unconcious by his castle, the Evoglobins plead with the Mario Bros. to go through the level and revive Bowser, saying that they are a part of Bowser's spirit. They are larger than normal Emoglobins, however, Mario or Luigi do not need to jump on them to active their message.
