A Starkiss.

Starkisses are a type of starfish fought in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. They are orange and are capable of standing upright. Starkisses are found in the Oho Ocean Seabed, and attack by blowing a kiss at Mario and Luigi. The kiss takes the form of a small heart. The heart will travel slowly toward either brother, its path curving along the way. Mario and Luigi must Jump on it to counter. If hit, the brother will take minimal damage, but there is a small chance the kiss will affect the target's attack power, defense, or speed. It has a total of 35 HP, so it is easily defeated.

Trivia

• Littered among other remnants of sea creatures (such as the bones of fish and empty shells), the Mario Bros. can find what would appear to be star-shaped skulls lying on the ground of Teehee Valley. As Teehee Valley was once a part of Oho Ocean, it is possible that these are the strange skeletons of Starkisses.
• In Gwarhar Lagoon, a purple Starkiss named Spangle requested the Mario Bros. to find him a stage to perform on. The ornately-decorated shell of Hermie III served this purpose, and the latter rewarded them with a Soulful Bros. Badge.
• For some reason, it is healed by thunder.
