Iggy (film character)
Iggy is a cousin and henchmen of the evil King Koopa in the Super Mario Bros. movie. His full name is Igantius, and he and his other cousin, Spike, refer to themselves as "The Super Koopa Cousins" when pitching a video game based on their life experiences. Iggy is based on Bowser's in-game son, Iggy Koopa, but while the names are similar, many of their traits are not.
Iggy and Spike are always together as they serve King Koopa. While they often bicker and abuse each other, they also think alike, forming scemes and even finishing each other's sentences on occasion. Iggy claims to be the "brains" of the duo, though neither of them are very smart. Eventually, Koopa gets fed up with their ineptitude and evolves his cousins to the "Advanced" level; once in posession of a much higher intelligence, Iggy eventually turns on Koopa, as does Spike. They make a deal with Mario and Luigi, and eventually meet up with Princess Daisy. They claim they were always her loyal supporters, and lead her to her father, before fleeing Koopa Tower.
