The Metakoro Disease is a disease that is central to the plot of Mario & Luigi RPG 3. During the events of the game, it has spread all over the Mushroom Kingdom and infected many Toads. When affected with this disease, victims grow large and round. The cause and cure for this disease are unknown. It is assumed that Mario and Luigi are searching for the cure. Bowser was seen in a few screenshots fighting a Goomba that seemed to be infected with the disease. One of Luigi's attacks apparently takes advantage of the disease, as he eats some candy and gets affected, allowing Mario to toss him into the air. Landing in this state causes a shockwave that harms enemies. This attack is presumably available once the cure is discovered.
