Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is a popular Player's Choice Game Boy video game, and the game featuring the first appearance of Wario. This game is the sequel to Super Mario Land. Like the first game Shigeru Miyamoto didn't make this game.

Story

The story to this game is colorless and quite simple and easy to understand. Wario steals Mario's Castle. (This is the only game in which Mario owns a castle.) Mario is angry with Wario and sets out to get the castle back from him. Wario has hired many monsters to stop Mario. Among the bosses, Tatanga -- the main boss from the first game, Super Mario Land -- is one of them.

To win the game, Mario must move through levels and stages such as sunken ships, the moon and a mechanical giant Mario! After beating the bosses in the last level of the zone, Mario receives one of six golden coins. The coin flys to Wario's (Mario's) castle to fit in a archway. When Mario retrieves all six coins, the door to the castle unlocks.
Wario's Castle: This level is by far the hardest part of the game, and is much like the Bowser castles from other games. With unique monsters like giant piranaha plants, donut blocks and Wario himself!

There is a tutorial at the start of the game that is short and easy. Other features are tons of game secrets, extra levels and shortcuts. There is a slot machine area where Mario may gamble his coins for lives, powerups, and mushrooms.
