Mushroom King
King Toadstool, the Mushroom King, is the king of the Mushroom Kingdom and Peach's father. He was mentioned in the Super Mario Bros. instruction manual but appeared mostly in the Mario comics. In the comics, he is a scatter-brained numbskull. King Toadstool most likely ruled the Mushroom Kingdom while Peach was a baby. However, it seems that the Princess herself became leader of the kingdom after she grew up.
King Toadstool made an appearance in the Mario Movie however as Princess Daisy's dad, and turned into a giant Mushroom monster that is all over the Mushroom Kingdom, by King Koopa. After the plumbers defeat King Koopa, the spell breaks and King Toadstool reverts to his normal state.
Trivia
- It is possible that King Toadstool is half Toad, half human; with Grandma Toadstool as his mother and a human as his father. In the comics, he is short and stumpy like a Toad, and his crown looks slightly like a mushroom cap; although the rest of his features appear to be human.
