While Super Mario characters are not the main focus of this book, counting the cover page, they appear on five out of the eight pages in this book/pamphlet-hybrid (meaning 62.5% of the book features a Super Mario character somewhere). The book/pamphlet features unique art for Mario, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong, in addition to occasionally providing descriptions of said characters (i.e. "And that night, his dream showed him a powerful, happy, fun-loving gorilla who led Nathaniel to wondrous places…", " Nathaniel imagined a funny little plumber with a dinosaur friend…"). Because of all of this, I think this book should get full or nearly-full coverage, resulting in pages for Nathaniel, the Fun Factory, Nathaniel's house, etcetera.

- Nelsonic (talk) Per proposal factory.
- Rykitu (talk) 4 out of the 6 Nintendo characters featured here are Mario characters. That's 66% Mario. Which is more than Smash Bros and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. The latter of which I'm pretty sure we give full coverage to. I also predicted this proposal lol.
- Axii (talk) Officially released Nintendo media prominently featuring characters from the Mario series.
- Camwoodstock (talk) If we give Ignorance is Bliss its own page outside of White Knuckle Scorin' when that was merely licensed, we can't think of any real reason to not give fuller coverage to this pamphlet-book-thing when it's officially made in-house.
Oppose factory
- SolemnStormcloud (talk) I could maybe support just an article for Nathaniel himself on the grounds of him directly interacting with DK on page 5, but this feels too much like a mutual Nintendo crossover for me to be comfortable with giving full coverage to the story.

What would full coverage mean in this case? Would we just expand this article, or would we like, give Nathaniel a page or something? The former feels like such a free action we're not even sure it would warrant a proposal, honestly. ~Camwoodstock ( talk ☼ contribs )

- @Camwoodstock I had meant creating pages for the characters in the story (i.e. Nathaniel) and prominent items (i.e. the Fun Factory). Nelsonic (talk) 15:04, March 29, 2025 (EDT)

- @EvieMaybe Sounds good. I'll modify the proposal accordingly.
I think the princess on page 6 is actually supposed to be Zelda and not Peach based on her being grouped with Link in the illustration and description ("and an elf trying to rescue a princess in distress"). The numerous Pokémon cameos on pages 1 (Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Meowth, Dewgong(?), Poliwhirl, Charizard, and Eevee) and 4 (Pidgeot, Jigglypuff again(?), Flareon, Bulbasaur again, Blastoise(?), Charizard again, and Beedrill) further skew the ratio away from Super Mario, but I can justify not counting them since they're rather minor. — SolemnStormcloud (talk) 23:58, March 29, 2025 (EDT)
My biggest qualm with this is that the additional articles would be redundant: considering that this is a very short story which is already summarized completely in a single paragraph, the individual articles would practically be repeating themselves. There must be some example of that already on the wiki, though. (I was going to bring up MarioWiki:Once and only once, but it disappeared, and I feel like me mentioning it specifically had a hand in that happening.) ThePowerPlayer 23:17, April 9, 2025 (EDT)
This proposal's almost over, but I counted three subjects that are directly involved with Super Mario characters: Nathaniel himself, as mentioned in my vote; the Fun Factory, which created the imaginary Super Mario characters in the story; and Nathaniel's daughter, who interacts with Donkey Kong on page 8 ("and a playful gorilla of the jungle whose adventures she could not only direct by herself… but also share with her Dad."). Besides that, the Super Mario characters mostly play an incidental, aesthetic role, and no other original subjects interact with them. — SolemnStormcloud (talk) 13:16, April 11, 2025 (EDT)
