The Odd Rock[1] is a character in the upcoming Donkey Kong Bananza. Implied by its name, it is a purple, rock-like entity with two stubby legs, blue diamond-like eyes, and various VoidCo symbols and inscriptions on its body. Prior to its introduction, it appears to be an innocuous purple rock that happened to have fallen onto the crater. When Donkey Kong pulls the rock out of the crater, it stays still for a few seconds before its eyes glow, and it begins to freak out at his sight. Identifying DK as a threat, it begins to run away causing, Donkey Kong to give chase to it. when DK eventually does find it, he tries to think of how to get its attention. He then proceeds to whistle, to which the rock slowly begin to regain its bearings. After which, the Odd Rock realises DK is the one to have saved it and decides to join him.
