Shouldn't we add the original SNES Points of Advice? They are slightly different.--Platform (talk) 03:11, September 18, 2022 (EDT)

Yeah, I do notice some differences. They're definitely worth adding. Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 03:43, September 18, 2022 (EDT)

Scope[edit]

? Block from Super Mario World This talk page or section has a conflict or question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

The article takes just about every single black text box in Super Mario World to be Tourist Tips. Which is fine - not all of the advice-giving messages even label themselves as a Point of Advice - but it seems to be going over that and into a Super Mario World transcript. Not that that's not useful, but it should be clearer within the article. Additionally, the Japanese name,「ワンポイント アドバイス」(Wanpointo Adobaisu, "One Point (of) Advice" or "One-Point Advice"), got reused (without the spacing) as part of the tip dialog Cappy says between kingdoms in Super Mario Odyssey, translated as "Travel Tip" instead. There's also a similar phrase,「ワンポイント攻略こうりゃく」used for the level illustrations in the Yoshi's Island All-Color Shogakukan guide. This is apparently a somewhat common phrase, but surprisingly, I don't think it's a common Mario phrase, unless I'm mistaken. Worthy of inclusion? LinkTheLefty (talk) 02:30, March 14, 2025 (EDT)
