Why did this item even have to exist? We could've completed the WHOLE game without it.

I know you do... I created the article on it :P
But, why did nintendo make it so that you have to get the wedding ring? It has NO plot signifigance whatsoever. To put it simply; if nintendo didn't put in the "Find the Wedding ring" sidequest, no one would care. Where did they even get the idea that she would lose it?
