Move to Item Storage[edit]

Should this be moved to Item Storage? It appears to be the most recent name, as it's called in the Super Mario 3D World manual. There's also no reference for "Item Stock", unless that's what it is called in Super Mario World? I don't remember, but if it is, then it's irrelevant as it's not the most recent name. Okay, I worded this wrong (but I'm going to leave it there anyway). This page should be moved as per MarioWiki:Naming, but I'm asking for a reference for "Item Stock". I don't have access to my copy of Super Mario World at the moment, so is someone able to look it up in the meantime? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:52, 12 May 2017 (EDT)

The item window[edit]

Should the equivalent of the item storage used in games like Super Mario Bros. 3 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii - which goes by the name "item window" on page 18 of the Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 manual - be included here, or is it different enough for its own article? It's used on the map screen instead of a level and holds multiple items rather than one, but the inventory from Bowser's Fury seems like a merger of both the window and storage systems LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:47, November 26, 2022 (EST)

I don't really see any reason not too, those seem like the respective games' take on the concept. Mario jumping Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 13:21, November 26, 2022 (EST)
How about versions from non-platformers like the Mario Kart or Mario Party series? LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:52, December 2, 2022 (EST)

The page inventory now exists and covers the SMB3, NSMBW, and NSMBU ones. I do agree that it makes sense to include the Mario Kart series' item system here, as that seems to be one of the things that Super Mario Kart directly lifted from Super Mario World. This single-item type also exists in Mario Pinball Land. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:41, March 24, 2025 (EDT)
