The Cloudtop Cruiser

The Cloudtop Cruiser is a Super Mario-themed Airbus A320 aircraft operated by American airline JetBlue. The aircraft was built in 2003 with the tail number N561JB and initially operated under the name La Vie en Blue before it acquired its current name and theme in March 2025 as part of a collaboration with Nintendo for Mario Day.[1][2] It is named after the Cloudtop Cruise course from Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Design[edit]

The sides of the Cloudtop Cruiser depict artwork of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Bowser next to a white JetBlue logo and over a light-blue background. Its underside, tail fin, and engines are colored red, and are separated from the light-blue part by yellow stripes with Super Stars. The Super Mario logo is depicted on the tail fin. Next to the front passenger door, there is a small white silhouette of Mario jumping with "HERE WE GO!" written under it. Super Mario-theming is also present in the aircraft's setback touchscreens.[2]
