Appleby is a strange, flesh-colored mole creature who first appeared as a regular enemy in Wario Land 3 and later as a boss in Dr. Mario 64. In Wario Land 3, Appleby hides in holes up high in walls, only to appear and throw special apples down whenever Wario is near. Wario will eat these apples, thus turning him into Fat Wario.
Appleby is also a selectable character in the multiplayer mode of Dr. Mario 64.
Trivia
- This strange being resembles a Monty Mole.
- Appleby's name comes from that of the popular restaurant chain Applebee's.
