World 4-4 is the fourth and final level of World 4 in Super Mario Bros. Special.
Layout[edit]
The level is a maze consisting of four junctions with two paths each. Going the wrong way will lead to a pipe that takes Mario back to the very beginning. The final junction is slightly different, however, as going the wrong way there will first take Mario to a room with the level's only coin, which then leads to the beginning. The only obstacles in the maze are icicles, present in groups of two or three at each junction. The correct path is top, top, bottom, top.
The pipe at the end of the maze's correct path leads to the final hallway. There are two more icicles, after which the hallway passes under the room with the coin, then under Brick Blocks that spell out "HUDSON". The hallway opens up to two final icicles, and the bridge with Bowser and the axe.
