An untitled Mario Kart game set to be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed alongside the system in a "first-look" trailer released on January 16, 2025. The art style of the game's characters appears to have changed significantly, resembling that of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and the number of racers per race was increased to 24 compared to the previous 12.[1]
