Talk:Refreshroom
New name?
So, do we call this Mushroom (M&L) or something due to BiS's remake? PrincessPeachFan (talk) 22:54, July 9, 2023 (EDT)
- Depends on what the naming situation for the BiS item is in other languages. I sincerely doubt the minor quest item in PiT is the same as the giant healing item in BiS. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 07:06, July 10, 2023 (EDT)
- You do have a point. The one in BiS has a regular Mushroom's appearance and restores Bowser's health by 50% which is most likely why it's called Mushroom in BiS's remake whereas the Refreshroom in PiT has a unique appearance and is used to cure Toadsworth's Shroomshock. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 12:55, July 10, 2023 (EDT)
- Is it this thing? Looks like it was originally under the name「かいふくキノコ」(Kaifuku Kinoko, Recover Mushroom). Maybe someone had fun with it to fit in space and forgot there was already a Refreshroom in the previous game? And then for some reason, the remake simplified it to「キノコ」(Kinoko, Mushroom). So, yes, the Partners in Time Refreshroom would seem to be different from the Bowser's Inside Story mushroom. LinkTheLefty (talk) 17:30, July 21, 2023 (EDT)
- Should we split this then? Reminds me of the ? Mushroom/Reverse Mushroom situation. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 09:52, July 23, 2023 (EDT)

Split the Giant Bowser battle Refreshroom
This talk page section contains an unresolved talk page proposal. Please try to help and resolve the issue by voting or leaving a comment. |
Current time: Thursday, January 9, 2025, 23:22 GMT
As one can see on the discussion above, this Bowser's Inside Story item was originally known in Japanese as かいふくキノコ (Kaifuku Kinoko), a different name from the Partners in Time's リフレッシュキノコ (Refesh Kinoko). This, along with a different appearance and different function set them apart from each other in all but English name, meaning the page should be split. Apart from originally having a unique name, the Bowser's Inside Story item looks like a Mushroom, acts like a Mushroom and is now called a Mushroom. Size differences aside, this means it probably fits better in the Mushroom article, where it is, oddly enough, already covered. If this proposal fails then information in the Mushroom article should be removed and kept in this article. For completion's sake I have also included here a list of the Refreshroom's names in different languages.
Language | Partners in Time | Bowser's Inside Story |
---|---|---|
French | Champicure | Champignon curatif |
German | Pepp-Pilz | Frisch-Pilz |
Italian | Rivitalfungo | Grande Fungo |
Spanish | champialivio | Champiñón restaurador |

Move the Giant Bowser item to the Mushroom article
- LadySophie17 (talk) Per myself.
- Camwoodstock (talk) Per proposal. In addition, the Giant Bowser item is more like a standard Mushroom, while the PiT one is moreso a key item.
- Blinker (talk) Per proposal.
Keep the Giant Bowser item in the Refreshroom article
Comments (Giant Bowser item)
There's an argument to be made about merging the Partners in Time Refreshroom and Shroomshock into one page since they are so minor, but I don't want to make a proposal on that while this one is active, and I don't even know what that page would be called. — Lady Sophie (T|C) 17:01, December 29, 2024 (EST)
