This and {{SMG2 boss}} aren't great templates. I came across this in Megahammer under the statistics section, and (partly due to the confusing label "statistics") it took me a while to figure out this is just a list of encounters in the game, but arranged in a way that's confusing, such as the rewards section (horizontal) being off and not really corresponding with the encounters (vertical list, not even spaced well, so in narrower displays, it's difficult to distinguish the mission names). These just reiterate what's in the text, though the boss encounters and rewards from them aren't complex enough for their own tables. Is there a page where these templates serve well? Otherwise, if the text in the pages don't do a great job listing encounters and what to expect from them, then these tables aren't well equipped or even necessary. Mario It's me, Mario! I'll admit these templates inspired me to create similar ones for other games, like Super Princess Peach. I think the benefit of these templates is that they sum up the data associated with an enemy or, in this case, a boss's appearance in a game, just as RPG statistics do. @Doc von Schmeltwick (who created this template) probably has some other reasons. It makes sense for bosses of those RPG games to get their own stat table due to having multiple statistics associated with their encounters. The encounters in Galaxy games tend to be either once or twice, with rewards simply a tally of a level clear (unlike RPGs, these aren't exactly item drops), so the information here should either be relegated to body text or infobox. If it were like, 10 times on multiple locations with different rewards, then perhaps there is a need for a table of encounters and rewards. Mario It's me, Mario! Some things like how many points an enemy gives when defeated seems more suitable when listing it as a statistic. It's part of why I made a separate proposal about a corresponding profiles and statistics link in different article sections (in a way that would work) so that one doesn't have to scroll to find it, especially on large articles like History of Mario. I made these in the first place for multi-encounter/variation and multi-game examples where they previously had the information used as the vertically oriented top infobox (like Dino Piranha, who checks all of the aforementioned boxes, and such like that) - a notable other example is Undergrunt Gunner, which is in a weird situation where it's actually the cannons being fought (and one gives a helpful cannon on defeat rather than a star), and I followed that idea for Bowser Jr.'s fight (which is actually against his airship). I had no real intention of replacing single-appearance ones with them. It might be more serviceable to do what I'm now doing with enemy appearances for these games, which uses space a lot better and can be minimized.
