Clearing?
Am I understanding this correct that entries from this page don't get removed after the name change? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:30, 26 January 2008 (EST)
- Yes, just leave it with "all userspace pages have been moved" to signify completion. We'll probably need an archive eventually Wa

- When the user doesn't have a user-page created, the line shows up as well, so I'd be careful. The current template doesn't count userpages when they are only talk-pages. Also, the user page of King Boo 55 (talk) is listed as a sub-page of King Boo (talk), that problem has to be fixed as well. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:07, 26 January 2008 (EST)
Twice Per Year
When it says "1 year", does it mean from January 1 to December 31, or just 365 days in general? Because, technically, if it were based on the first and last day of the year, a user could get 4 name changes in less than an hour, if they do two on 12/31 and another two on 1/1. It means 365 days, correct? Marcelagus (T • C • E)
- Yup. Time Questions 07:29, 14 September 2008 (EDT)
- I actually think it's from January 1 to December 31. It's very hard to keep the date of the renames in mind, they're buried in the history. Clearing this page on January 1st is the easiest solution to do. It saves much work for bureaucrats. Don't worry about four renames in hours, we won't let that happen. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 18:36, 14 September 2008 (EDT)
- So, teoretically, it's possible to have four name changes in one year, is what I'm seeing. Are the name changes for the year going to be archived on 1/1? Marcelagus (T • C • E)
- No. It's possible to have four name changes in 365 days, but never in the same year. I'm not sure about archiving. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:32, 15 September 2008 (EDT)

- When I say "1 year", I don't mean on the calendar, I mean 365 days. So, on 1/1, the page will be cleared, but there will be no archives, correct? Marcelagus (T • C • E)
