World 3-2 is the second level of Water Land in Super Mario Bros. 3 and its two remakes: Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. This level is unlocked by clearing World 3-1, and clearing this level gives access to a Toad House and World 3-3.

Layout[edit]

The level's layout as seen in Super Mario All-Stars.

This level begins with Mario standing on a platform which is suspended above the water. Below is a single Cheep-Cheep that occasionally jumps, but not very high. This Cheep-Cheep will always return shortly after being defeated throughout the entire level. To the right of this platform are two Lifts that move up and down on zig-zagged tracks. Once Mario clears these two lifts, he encounters another suspended platform with a power-up-giving ? Block surrounded by four Donut Lifts. Next to this platform is another lift, this time on a longer track going right. Immediately after Mario activates the lift, he comes across a series of Wood Blocks that make an "L" shape. The middle block on the left produces a Starman if it is bumped into by Mario. If Mario obtains the Starman, two out of the next four ? Blocks will produce another Starman, but only if Mario is still invincible when he hits the block. Mario then comes across a few coins, another ? Block and a Koopa Paratroopa. After Mario encounters the Koopa Paratroopa, two more Cheep-Cheeps appear in the water, jumping all the way up to Mario on the lift. After this encounter, the lift makes two cuts up. During these cuts, two more high-jumping Cheep-Cheeps lunge at Mario. The track then ends; as such, Mario must jump onto one of two Donut Lifts (with a ? Block above them) to make his way towards another lift. Right away, two more Cheep-Cheeps make large leaps in Mario's direction. Then the lift comes across another Koopa Paratroopa, flying vertically. While the Koopa Paratroopa is flying on the track, two more high-jumping Cheep-Cheeps appear. After, the track cuts downwards, and a series of Brick Blocks appears above. If the third block from the left is hit, a Switch Block appears. This Switch Block turns three coins next to a Warp Pipe (where a green Venus Fire Trap resides) into Brick Blocks, creating a platform for Mario to hit a Hidden Block with a 1-Up Mushroom. This secret block is directly next to a coin. To the right of the Warp Pipe are a coin-holding Brick Block and another power-up-holding ? Block below it. Mario must enter the Warp Pipe to progress, taking him to a final, short stretch of suspended platforms, with one last high-jumping Cheep-Cheep swimming in the water below. If Mario is in his Raccoon form at this point, he can fly up to a lift on a track above the pipe, which can be used to get some coins and another 1-Up Mushroom in a Hidden Block. After this series of platforms is the goal.
