Mario's Magic Carpet is a VHS release of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! It was released by Kids Klassics in September 1989. The VHS is 30 minutes long, and it contains the animated segment "Mario's Magic Carpet" alongside two live-action segments, "Marianne & Luigeena" and "Bonkers from Yonkers."
The artwork showcases Mario, Luigi, Toad, and the Genie riding a magic carpet over an Aladdin-type setting, with Toad holding the Genie's lamp. The artwork is inconsistent with the episode's content, as the characters ride a standard-style magic carpet with a steering wheel similar to that of the one Mario and Luigi used in the later episode "Mario and the Red Baron Koopa." The Genie's appearance in the artwork also does not look anything like the character in the actual episode.
Blurb[edit]
Our heroes are counting on the magic of Aladdin's Lamp to help them defeat Koopa when they are captured by an evil Sultan. The Marios and Toad are enslaved and the Princess is sold to none other than evil King Koopa. The Marios escape and wage a wild magic carpet battle to save the Princess's life.
