First appearance The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! - "Love 'Em and Leave 'Em" (1989)

Hot Pepper Pistachio Ice Cream is a dessert made by Mario for Queen Rotunda in the episode "Love 'Em and Leave 'Em" in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!

Mario made this for the Queen's wedding and in order to avoid him and his friends from being beheaded for stealing food from Queen Rotunda. After Mario made some, Queen Rotunda tasted it, only to be overcome by the ice cream's spiciness.

Because of that, the Queen asked for water, resulting in an accident where Mario gave her a bottle of a Passion Potion, causing the Queen to confess her love for Mario.
