Stage 9-1 is the first level of the Tower in the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong.

Layout[edit]

The player starts the level on the bottom-left portion of the map. At the top is Donkey Kong who will periodically cause earthquakes that cause barbells, washtubs, and tires to fall, and Donkey Kong Jr. who will occasionally pull a switch to change the direction of the Conveyor Belts in the area. Mario must get across the lower Conveyor Belt to ride a Thwomp Platform to reach the upper one. After pulling a switch to remove a wall at the top, Mario must backtrack across the upper Conveyor Belt and ride the Thwomp Platform up to the top to reach Pauline.
