100m Dash
The player that shadow must keep ahead of is none other than his clone, Sonic!
("I don't recall that ever being part of the Sonic canon.")
To win it Mario must simply finish before his rival does. In other words Mario must cross the finish line before his rival crosses it.
Another difference is that instead of crossing the finish line first, he must cross the finish line in second place, right after the first place person[...]
All she must do is finish within .5 seconds of her rival, that means .5 seconds before or .5 seconds after.
Mario's sixth, final and hardest mission in the DS version is to beat the master of speed, the chaos emerald-using, crime-fighting, speedy, blue hedgehog; SEGA's mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog!
100m Freestyle
- It is unknown if Metal Sonic is waterproof or not, but as he does not seem to be covered in plastic, he may very well be waterproof.
A Weighty Matter
A Weighty Matter is one of the microgames in Ashley's Food in WarioWare: Get It Together!
("Waiter, there's a microgame in my food.")
Apes of Wrath
If Yoshi, Birdo, or Boo is participating, they will eat the entire apple rather than taking just one bite like the other characters, who are thinking "ಠ_ಠ" in their heads.
- Because the advice is "The longer you run, the more monkeys will appear! Stupid monkeys!", this is the only time Toadsworth uses bad (but not inappropriate) language in his history since his debut in Super Mario Sunshine.
Be My Chum!
This mini-game is a bit similar to Sink or Swim from Mario Party 6 with some changes being that the solo player uses the microphone to call commands for enemies to attack the other players instead of moving and dropping mines on them. And also, players do not have limited air.
("Can you say superficial?" - RickTommy (talk))
Beaver Bother
In this minigame, The player controls a Klaptrap[...]
("The miscapitalized "The" remained in the sentence since the page's creation in 2014, and wasn't corrected until 2018, four years later, despite the various edits made between the dates. Grammar police, away!" - Alex95 (talk))
Bobbing Bow-loons
Strangely, Baby Bowser looks like he's having a seizure instead of laughing if this happens.
Boing! (WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!)
Boing! is one of the Microgames in the Sports folder in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!
("That is a screenshot of Donkey Kong Country!!! What the..." - Nerdy Guy (talk))
Boo-ting Gallery
- The sound of the gate opening is the same sound when Spongebob opens the front door of his house.
Crazy Kong
The title Crazy Kong is never used in official Donkey Kong home ports as it has been retired by Nintendo after outliving its usefulness.
Cycling
- Wario
Wario's sixth and final mission in the DS Version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is cycling. To win, he must cross the finish line before his opponent crosses it. His opponent will be at top condition going super-fast and very skillful so Wario will have his work cut out for him. Wario's opponent is none other than Sonic the Hedgehog's friend, the super-strong, spiky-handed, tight knuckled echidna, Knuckles the Echidna.
- Dr. Eggman
Dr. Eggman's final mission (his sixth) in the DS version is also cycling. Just like Wario, he must cross the finish line before his opponent crosses it to win. Also once again, his opponent will be at top condition going super-fast and getting almost all the stamina there is to get so it will also be very hard for Dr. Eggman to win. Dr. Eggman's opponent is Luigi's sneaky doppelganger, the infamous jewel thief himself, Waluigi.
Diddy Kong Pilot
Options had a feature the player could decide if they wanted to use the D-Pad or the tilt sensor, implying that the game was going to use the tilt sensor.
Domination
Donkey Kong specifically shows off his hot guns to the crowd, making every player smile knowing they lost to that hunkey monk.
- In November 2019, livestreamer Ludwig Ahgren managed to get a score of 201, beating his previous record of 199.
Donkey Kong Circus
If Donkey Kong loses a Pineapple,Mario would laugh at him. If Donkey Kong manages to grasp a fireball,he will Scream and flail.
[...]
- This game gives some proof to the popular Theory that Mario is actually a Bad guy,as he is Laughing and abusing Donkey Kong constantly.
("Yeah, right, because Game Theory is the most RELIABLE source of video-game information!")
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
- Differences in the Game Boy Advance version
Originally, shortly after being knocked from the Flying Krock, Kaptain K. Rool falls down to Krem Quay, and is chomped on by sharks. This was toned down in the GBA version to him simply falling down to Krem Quay and then finding himself in Krockodile Kore before challenging Dixie and Diddy to a fight. This was presumably altered due to the family unfriendly nature of the original ending.
(I've seen characters eaten up by sharks in cartoons all the time. - Results May Vary (talk))
Donkey Kong GBA
Donkey Kong Game boy Advance is only for the GBA and the NES. There are 3 level's in the GBA version.
Donkey Kong II
- Donkey Kong 3 – A sequel to this game. Also, the handheld version of the sequel.
("Super Mario Galaxy 2 is my favorite Super Mario Galaxy reference!")
Donkey Kong Land
Although this is true that the two games play the same using the same engine - it is false because not only is the storyline different, but Donkey Kong Land has different levels, enemies, and bosses from the ones featured in Donkey Kong Country.
[...]
Image | Boss | Description | Location | Level name |
---|---|---|---|---|
Hard Hat | Hard Hat is a mad mole fought in a cavern at the edge of Monkey Mountains. This cavern is small, and consists of an arena whose ground is dug up in three holes, from which the boss comes out. The battle with Hard Hat is similar to a "whack-a-mole" game; the small creature surprises the player by popping out of one of the three holes, looks cautiously at the Kongs, then takes off the mine helmet he wears on the head and, to show his bad tantrum to the monkeys, hurls the dangerous helmet at them. While the mole's head is discovered, the Kongs need to carefully dodge the mine helmet and then stomp on the boss's baldness. After being hit, Hard Hat will enter back in his den and burst out of another hole. The procedure must be repeated until Hard Hat is defeated. | Monkey Mountains & Chimpanzee Clouds | Mad Mole Holes |
("Why mention the boss being angry at the player and it being bald when most bosses are angry and bald anyway? It doesn't make any sense!")
Double Pounder
The pair must try to simultaneously Ground Pound switches of the same color. In order for that color switch to be activated, the players need to have almost perfect synchronicity. Whenever a switch is activated, lava spouts in the background, then hardens into a metal platform, which makes Bowser Jr. look nervous. If all four sets of switches are activated within 30 seconds, the players win. Caution: if the players fail at activating all the switches, Jr. is victorious.
("The bolded part was added in December 29th of 2012 and didn't get rewritten until May 5th, 2017. Gee, lucky coincidence much?")
Eyebrawl
After the player defeats the Mr. I, they will do their winning pose, until several tiny Mr. I's appear out of nowhere just like the first Mr. I's, causing the winner to scream in horror and start running off the screen, while the loser will be too shocked to move, and is left crying and screaming while the miniature Mr. I's surround them and the big Mr. I just looks at them.
- This is thought to quite possibly be the most horrific minigame in the Mario Party series.
("At least for those with ommetaphobia" Arend (talk))
Feed and Seed
Feed and Seed (Formerly Chuck's) is the Boss minigame against Piranha Plant in Mario Party DS.
("I'm not gonna lie, I didn't even know that was a Simpsons reference until I saw a passing mention of Sneed's Feed and Seed in a screenshot from a Discord server I was in." -- EleCyon (talk))
Flagman DD

("That was the whole article. Yeah.")
Fortune Street
Bowser Jr. |
---|
(The family resemblance is so strong here. Bowser Jr. looks so much like his father. Tails777 (talk))
Frozen Assets
The winning player attempts to do a winning pose as the player wins.
Grabby Gridiron
At the end of the mini-game, the winning team wins while the other team is sad that they lost the game.
Hammer Throw (event)
A good strategy for Knuckles is to first throw it softly, then throw it hard and then throw it like it is the end of the world.
("Gee, Hammer Bro must be so jealous..." - OhoJeeOnFire (talk))
Hot Rope Jump
- In the first version, in Mini-Game Island game mode, the "Full of Danger" music is played in order to increase difficulty because the player must jump 40 times without making mistakes to win the game.
(Music does have power you know. Just look how it affected Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix. Tails777 (talk))
Light Breeze
To make wind, press L, R, L, R, L and so on.
("You can also press down-B.")
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
- In the demo version of the game, luigi can be heard laughing in the background of the boss battle music. This feature does not happen in the real game. This may be subliminal marketing, annoying the player to the point of buying the game.
("Starlow wasn't annoying enough already?")
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
- Due to the fact that the Shroob invasion is not remembered by any characters, even Toadsworth, the invasion may not have actually been intended to happen in the past. Since E. Gadd's memory was actually rearranged by the events taking place in the past, the Shroobs may have actually been attacking the present, but been sent to the past by the time holes made by E. Gadd's time machine.

Mario Kart Arcade GP
The name says it all
[...]
Despite suffering from low playing, a sequel entitled Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 was released (also for the arcades). [...] Fortunately, it received positive scores and critical acclaim, being unlike the previous game which was criticized for the high amount of pay

("Well, do we get Stalin too?" - Garlic Man (talk))
("Wait, so to unlock Hitler, we have to unlock Hitler? That's some crazy Pirate Goomba nonsense combined with circular reasoning!" - SONIC123CDMANIA+&K(B&ATSA) (talk))
Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Variable | Description | Impact on SkillPoints |
---|---|---|
StartMiniturboCount | How many times the character performs a Rocket Start, or boosts upon hitting the ground after being picked up by Lakitu. | Each time the character performs a Rocket Start or boosts after Lakitu picks them up deceases SkillPoints by 25. |
("May they rest in peace." - BMfan08 (talk))
Mario Party 2
- Trivia
- This is the last game with Mario voiced by Charles Martinet to be released before Tara Charendoff got married to Craig Strong and became now know as Tara Strong.
(And that is important... how? Results May Vary (talk))
Mario Party DS
- CPU-Controlled Daisy seems luckier than other CPU-Controlled characters for unknown reasons
- Several hexagons can be seen in this game.
Mario Party Superstars

Mario Party: The Top 100
[about Minigame Match] This board took place on the minigame, Chip Shot Challenge.
Mario Tennis (Nintendo 64)
Mario Tennis [...] is essentially an expanded version of Mario's Tennis for the Virtual Boy.
Mario Tennis Open
- Mario Kart 7: Metal Mario's artwork is reused from this game. However, his artwork here is contained in a yellow circle with a green outline that obscures his lower body since his artwork from Kart 7 showed him standing next to a pair of tires, and he's not racing this time.
("It's reused, but completely different in every single way possible." Yoshi876 (talk))
NBA Street V3
- This is the first game to feature Princess Peach's main current sports attire other than her Golf/Tennis minidress therefore predating Mario Superstar Baseball. Peach's main current sports attire would appear in later sports installments such as Mario Hoops 3-on-3 (alongside her golf/tennis minidress), Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Mario Super Sluggers, Mario Sports Mix and Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (except for Mario Tennis Open and Mario Golf: World Tour) which has Peach in her minidress which was introduced in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.
- Also, Peach is shown with her hair untied in her group artwork and her character roster mugshot instead of having it tied up in a ponytail therefore breaking the formula for Peach's hairstyle in sports games set by Mario Golf Toadstool Tour. Though, Peach's hair is tied up during the gameplay and in her solo artwork.
("The user who wrote this is really into Peach.." Results May Vary (talk))
NES Open Tournament Golf
The game does not take place in the Mushroom Kingdom and instead takes place on Earth, or the "real world."
("So Mushroom Kingdom isn't real!?") - Mario (talk)
New Super Luigi U
- An in-game "second" in New Super Luigi U is actually 1 second [...].
("So a second is 1 second?" - Elijah Guy (talk)
("My best guess is that Super Mario Bros. has faster seconds than real life ones, so he felt the need to point out this very important information.")
New Super Mario Bros.

("Emo." - Stooben Rooben (talk))
New Super Mario Bros. 2
As of September 30, 2021, it sold 13.39 copies worldwide.
("It wasn't THAT bad...")
("...what happened to the remaining 61% of the copy which only 1/39th of it was sold? How do you sell 1/39th of a copy in the first place?" Arend (talk))
- ("Don't you mean 39/100?" OhoJeeOnFire (talk))
New Super Mario Bros. Wii

King Bill (World 9-8) | A nearly invincible enemy that charges forward, taking up most of the screen. Also looks like my mum when I haven't cleaned my room |
[...]
- This game is a reference to the book "Super Mario Bros. 3: Happy Birthday, Princess Toadstool!".
("Ah yes, I also think Donkey Kong Land is a reference to the book Donkey Kong Country: Rumble in the Jungle." - EleCyon (talk))
Oshi Chau?
The math problem is intended to seduce the player to tap a number nonetheless due to its simplicity.
("Yes, seduce does have a meaning that fits in this context without implying anything explicit. Still, there's a reason we don't use the word 'intercourse' to mean 'discussion'." — Time Turner (talk))
Paintball Battle
This minigame was later referenced as Splatoon. due to the mechanic of this gameplay.
("Wouldn't it make more sense if Paint Misbehavin' is the Splatoon predecessor? The Dutch name for it in Mario Party Superstars is literally a portmanteau of 'Splatoon' and 'Goomba'." -Arend (talk))
Paper Mario
Whereabouts | Name | HP | Attack | Defense | Location | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Chapter 6 | Spike? | 50 | 4 | 0 | Flower Fields | Fought on orders from Huff N. Puff; later decides to join Mario after figuring the deal is stupid. |
[...]
- The introduction video for this game features something impossible in the actual game: for a few seconds, Mario can be seen dodging Bullet Bills in the Koopa Bros. Fortress with Parakarry following behind; this is not possible in-game', as Parakarry does not join the party until much later. This is possible because the player can come back later in the game after getting Parakarry on the team, the player can go back to the Koopa Bros. Fortress and dodge the bullet bills. Doing this is out of the game's sequential plot, but it is possible.
("This is not contradicting itself, but it is contradicting itself.")
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
- The boat Mario uses to access the later worlds bears a shocking resembalence to the one used in Rogueport in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. They could be manufactured in the same company, although the drivers feature extremely different personalities(Rougeport's driver is never seen though).
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo Switch)
- Only Mario is present on the title screen when the game is started for the first time; Mario's parents will each be added to the title screen when they join him.
("Wow, their role in The Super Mario Bros. Movie must have really resonated to put them in the title screen of a remake of an unrelated game." - Doc von Schmeltwick (talk)}
Pass Aggressive
The name is a pun on the disease passive-aggressiveness.
Pedal Power
- This is the best Mario Party minigame because it rips open the palm of your hand and you then proceed to sue Nintendo.
("Like what actually happened." - Toadette the Achiever (talk))
("If it rips open the palm of your hand why is it the best?"
Reverse Minigame
- Fun Fact: Since the objective of the Reverse Minigames is to lose instead of win, so the winner may be noobs instead of experts! Maybe this type of minigames is to torture experts. LOL!
Shake It Up
- Another reference to the game's title is the TV show of the same name as seen on the Disney Channel starring Zendaya and Bella Thorne.
("Mario Party 8 came out in 2007, but Disney show first aired in 2010. It was added back on the article twice." - Results May Vary (talk))
Single Sculls
Dr. Eggman must finish the race in the totally awesome position of second!
("We like the sarcasm, but don't get us wrong, getting second place in the Olympics is an extremely respectable feat in real life.")
Sinking Feeling (WarioWare: Touched!)
The player can lose the microgame if they either nut nogginly let the vehicle fall from a high place or let it go into a wall.
Spike Strike
- Characters who end up picking a branch actually look depressed.
("We were just tipsy." ― Mario (talk))
Sports games
A sports game is a game genre that is based on a Sport. Mario has appeared in a handful of Sports games. Some popular ones include the Mario Baseball series, the Mario Tennis series, and the Mario Golf series.
Stump Petuni
The game's name is a play on the word "stump", which means both the part of a tree still in the ground after it has been cut, and to make someone confused about something.
("Remember, just because she lives in a tree doesn't make this a pun." — SolemnStormcloud (talk))

("How do you even take pictures of things you can't even see with the naked eye!?" -EleCyon (talk))
Super Mario 64
- the name is a clear reference to Superman 64
("Especially because Super Mario 64 appeared in 1996 and Superman 64 in 1999")
("And since that game's title was actually just Superman. And since it's a great idea to capitalize on the success of a game with a near-universal negative reception." - Doc von Schmeltwick (talk))
In Super Mario 64 DS, the star is the same as if it was gotten in the original version of the game that can be gotten in the original way.
("I had to replace this for almost every Super Mario 64 mission... It's no much funny as it is painful." - Walkazo (talk))
Super Mario 64 DS
- Characters
To have more of a chance beating the game, the player needs to find the three plumbers flung behind doors by Bowser:
- Trivia
- It is rumored Wario only came to Peach's Castle for the cake. {{refneeded}}
(Try reading the sentence of the Characters section out of context. - Results May Vary (talk))
if you collect all 2401 coins you unlock Luigi but this is not true.
("It's not true, but I'll tell you how to do it anyway." - Alex95 (talk))
- Even if Yoshi's mouth is full, he can still make sounds.
Super Mario Attack
Super Mario Attack (スーパーマリオアタック, Sūpā Mario Atakku) is a redemption arcade game developed by Banpresto in 1996 about Mario attacking, based on the 1990 SNES game Super Mario World. The gameplay involves landing Mario on items of different value in medals.
("Looking at the brief gameplay part, it doesn't seem like it.")
Super Mario Bros.
1. First, use the select button or minus button to choose 2 Player Game on the title screen. 2. When the game begins run Mini Mario straight into the Goomba. He will lose a life. 3. Then you'll be able to play as Luigi. 4. If Luigi loses a life you will switch back to Mario. Just keep having Mario lose a life until he gets a Game Over. Then continue on as Luigi.
Super Mario Bros. 3
Another common object is the Goomba's Shoe, only obtainable in World 5-3 of the game.
("Then why is it common?")
- In the French commercial of the game, Thwomp is shown with green eyes, Although the animators had a little knowledge on the game, They didn't look at the original artwork of the enemy, which had black pupils, This was the first time that a Thwomp has colored eyes, This wasn't until Super Mario 64 that they were depicted with colored eyes again, which they had red eyes instead of green, It became the eye color of Thwomps in the rest of the Mario video game series.
Super Mario Galaxy
The player can shake the Wii Remote and make Mario perform a Star Spin. This can also be done by shaking the Nunchuck as it also has a motion sensor otherwise games like Wii sports boxing cannot be played.
[...]
- Super Mario Bros. 3- [...] Mario having three vitality points in the game may be a reference in which it would take three hits for Mario to lose a life if he has a power-up such as the Raccoon Leaf or the Fire Flower in SMB3.
("Yes, and Mario begin able to turn while jumping in Super Mario World is totally a reference to Return of Mario Bros.")
- On the words "SUPER MARIO GALAXY" you may see 7 stars on 7 different letters. When removing the letters without a star, it spells "U R MR GAY". it is unclear if this is accidental or intentional
("Too bad that those don't look like stars and that the spacing was arbitrarily intepreted, still there is some truth in this ..." - Mister Wu (talk))
Super Mario Kart
You drive on a go-kart trhough a track, whether it be one of the 3 Ghost Valleys, a Mario Circuit or an area of Bowser's Castle, it's THAT simple...
("It's not really that simple.")
Super Mario Maker
- Probabily Nintendo makes this game to prevent people downloading the illegal Super Mario Bros. X, giving them a Nintendo-made level editor.
Super Mario Maker 2
Super Mario Maker 2 is a 2D/2.5D platforming and level-editing game released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on June 28, 2019 and is the sequel to the 2015 Wii U game Super Mario Maker. First announced during the Nintendo Direct broadcast on February 13, 2019, it is the twenty-first entry in the Super Mario series. It is the first Super Mario game to be released during the Reiwa era in Japan, following the abdication of emperor Akihito on April 30 and ascension of prince Naruhito the following day. [...]
("While this is correct, the way this appears in the lead section and without sources to back it up makes this sound overly silly." - ChillyBeanBAM (talk))
Super Mario Party
- Mario Sports Superstars: The horses in Fiddler on the Hoof reuses its Balance-type design from this game.
Super Mario Party Fun Trivia Quiz
Super Mario Party Fun Trivia Quiz is a trivia game on the Play Nintendo website. It was made to promote the release of Super Mario Party. It is the twenty-fifth installment in the Mario Party series.
(Super Mario Cereal is the twenty-first entry in the Super Mario series and a sequel to Super Mario Odyssey.)
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
There is no Mario RPG game for Switch because its fake. Instead, Super Mario Odyssey 2 will be released officially the next year. These two stupid Japanese developers were lying and cancelled the dumb Direct presentation.
("This was on the article soon after the announcement of Super Mario RPG (Nintendo Switch)" - User:Pirate Goomba (talk) )
("Looks like someone's salty they didn't get a Nintendo Direct bingo." - Doc von Schmeltwick (talk))
Super Mario Sunshine
- Sonic Adventure 2: Almost everything in this plot is nearly identical to Sonic Adventure 2. In Super Mario Sunshine, Mario is put in jail because he is framed by Shadow Mario (Who turns out to be Bowser Jr. in disguise) for polluting Delfino Island, and has the use of FLUDD, which is a feature that would be frequently used. In Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic is sent to prison because he is framed by Shadow the Hedgehog for stealing a Chaos Emerald from the bank, and introduced Rail Grinding, which is used in every game after it.
Super Mario World
If the player loses a life by running out of time, "Time Up!" will be written on the screen instead of "Time's Up!".
("This was a section. For over a month.")
("That being said, this section is a notable mistake." - The HD Guy)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Two new bosses appear only in this mode: The Babysitter (fought in The Church) and Mr. Game & Watch's Father (fought in the Coliseum at night), while Master Hand and Crazy Hand continue to appear as bosses often.
Classic Mode | |
---|---|
Final Stage | The player has to fight Master Hand. If it is completed on Hard or higher, within nine minutes, and with no continues, Crazy Hand will appear too. If the player chooses to play as Mr. Game & Watch in his classic route, his final battle is against his father, depending on the difficulty set. On Intense difficulty, he is fought in The Church instead of the Coliseum at night, like The Babysitter is also fought in The Church too. |
Boss | Description | |
---|---|---|
Mr. Game & Watch's Father | The long lost father of his, who was fought in Coliseum (and on The Church when played at an Intense difficulty) and was defeated multiple times by him many years ago. While his father is the "son" of Mr. Game & Watch's, he is the "ruler of Coliseum". His quotes "My son, i've been waiting for you. Now i dare you to fight me!" and "I won't lose!" reference the quotes of how his father had fought Mr. Game & Watch at the Coliseum to fight him in his original form, and when he is defeated before transforming in his true form, as well as with the beginning of the final battle against his long lost father in a Game & Watch game, which Mr. Game & Watch himself has to fight him. It is one of the strongest bosses in the game, despite his Off Waves (similar to Tabuu's) move causing players to get OHKO'd even if the player stays too close to him. Upon defeat, he transforms into his true form that is more stronger than his original form, with new moves like the Buzzsaw Slice which deals 45-75% of damage (and an Instant KO when played at a hard difficulty or higher.). Upon the true form's defeat, he will fall on the ground, grunting, similar to his death animation in a Game & Watch game. | |
The Babysitter
File:SmashBrosEmblem.png |
The babysitter is an elegant girl who lives in the church, babysitting the children. She faces Mr. Game & Watch (before the final battle with his father) and occasionally, other fighters like Meta Knight. She is voiced by Rena Strober, who she also voiced Azura in Fire Emblem Fates. Upon defeat, instead of doing her death animation, she gives the fighter a thumbs up and smiles, by saying "You did a good job on doing this!". |
Sometimes both Hands (or even Mr. Game & Watch's Father and The Babysitter) will appear at one time.
(Pish posh, this guy ain't scary at all. I'll just use King Dedede and he's as good as dead.) - OhoJeeOnFire (talk)
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Mochi „Tails” Powder
Toilet Training
- 1st level difficulty: People either go straight or take curved paths.
- 2nd level difficulty: Some of the people start tripping, so it is essential for the player to keep a close eye on all times.
- 3rd level difficulty: The people jump across to the front of the screen to cut people and trip to make the microgame much harder. However, the jumping person's shadow can be seen.
(The people jump across to the front of the screen to WHAT? - ViableBunnyBudd (talk))
Tree Stomp
In the minigame, the team controls giant tree stump robots modified for movement. There is a ring of spikes at the base of each robot that are lethal to the solo player's touch.
Tug o' War
- Donkey Kong will look in the pit, and laugh menacingly if he wins.
( "I'm scared :'(" - Baby Luigi (talk))
Wario is HOT
The title is a double entendre. It can also be taken to mean that Wario is sexually appealing. However, as Wario definitely does not have sexual traits deemed attractive by the general female population, it is safe to dismiss that idea as a hidden joke of sorts by the developers of the game.
Wario Land 4
- Wario's name is exactly the same as the Greek translation of the chemical element Barium that originated from the word βαρύς, meaning heavy, reflecting Wario's massive weight. Wario's superhero version as Wario-Man uses the same "W" symbol as Wonder Woman, who is Greek. In addition, the Wario Car resembles the Batmobile, a vehicle of Batman who is a major character in DC comics alongside Wonder Woman. Moreover, Wario-Man uses the same trademark purple and yellow colors of Wario's other appearances, which were also used during the peak of John Cena's career as a professional wrestler whose popularity among children led to his use of many different attires switching over a large variety of colors that were sold as merchandise.
