Millennium Star
There are two entities known as the Millennium Star, one real and one fake. They both appeared in Mario Party 3.
The first Millennium Star is a silver, mustachioed star who will grant the wish of any player who passes his test. The Millennium Star fell on Peach's Garden while Mario and his friends were resting. Mario and his friends argued about who got the star, which resulted in Lakitu coming and suggesting that they have a contest to see who got the star.
Template:Spoiler In the end of the game, Tumble opens the top of his die cap to reveal another, much different Millennium Star; the one Mario and his friends had been trying to please was an imposter. The real Millenium Star is a white star enclosed within a rainbow-colored sphere. Template:Endspoiler
It is unknown if Tumble actually was the Millennium Star; it is possible that he was merely acting as a living container for it. It is also possible, though, that Tumble and the Millennium Star are one and the same; it is worth noting that Tumble reappears in Mario Party Advance, thus causing more confusion as to whether Tumble and the Millennium Star are separate individuals. (Although nearly confirming that they are not, unless there are multiple Tumbles.)
Trivia
- The fake Millennium Star resembles the Eldstar from Paper Mario, as both are old stars who have mustaches.
- The fake Millennium Star's mustache is similar to that of Wario and Waluigi, all three of which are technically villains.
