Episode 1

(Attention everybody! "Drift Boost" from "Jump Drift"! This is common knowledge in the world! [Part 1])

Two Mario Kart Arcade GP DX players, Yūji and Fukusuke, arrive at the Bakuso King Dojo to become new students. While Yūji is excited, Fukusuke is sleepy as Yūji woke him up early. They then meet Master Tetsu, who introduces the dojo as a place for players that want to win in the National Battle mode and eventually reach level 20, and explains that he will give them thorough training to reach the goal. Master Tetsu then asks the two to introduce themselves. Yūji reveals that he is rank 1 and will reach level shodan soon, and Fukusuke (who fell asleep during Tetsu's explanation) says that he is level 9, which the master does not believe. Master Tetsu decides to start with the most basic move: the Jump Drift, and asks Yūji to perform it. After Yūji performs the move and Tetsu congratulates him, Fukusuke points out that the kart will stop by pressing on the brakes, to which the master replies by explaining that, when pressing the brake pedal for a bit, the kart will jump. Afterwards, Master Tetsu asks to the apprentices the advantages of the Jump Drift, and they state that it can be used to turn curves smoothly, with Tetsu further explaining that it can also be used for a temporary shield. Master Tetsu then surprises the two by revealing that a new feature has been added in the latest version, being the Drift Boost. However, he suddenly remembers that he has another lesson and says that he will teach it the next time. As Tetsu says farewell to his students, Yūji is left anxious to know about the move.

Episode 2

(Attention everybody! "Drift Boost" from "Jump Drift"! This is common knowledge in the world! [Part 2])

After Yūji and Fukusuke remind Master Tetsu about what he said at the end of last lesson, Tetsu begins to explains to the two the Drift Boost move. During the explanation, the appretices remain shocked by the amount of speed gained by performing the move. After Master Tetsu finishes explaining it, Yūji asks the master about which courses they can practice the move on, and Tetsu recommends Splash Circuit and Bon Dance Street due to their big turns. Before Yūji and Fukusuke go to practice, Fukusuke asks Master Tetsu for some money needed to do it, and Tetsu quickly leaves the situation to Yūji much to his dismay.

Episode 3

(The race starts before it begins! Character and kart selection is important!)

Fukusuke tells Master Tetsu that yesterday he got a new kart, the Country Winner, which he misspells as "Country Wiener". After Tetsu corrects the mistake, he says that he will explain the characters and karts' stats. He begins by explaining the four character types and their stats. Afterwards, he explains how a kart can increase the stats of a character. Lastly, he points out the air and water specialization for some karts, using the Road Jetter and Marine Diver as examples. After the explanation, Yūji states that he will pick a water specialized kart for Tropical Coast, while Fukusuke picks the Country Winner with Donkey Kong for its speed. As Yūji asks Fukusuke for advice on a kart with high handling, Master Tetsu tells both to try their picks and practice.

Episode 4

(Use more and more various items! That is the key to victory!)

Master Tetsu says to his students that he will teach them about items. After Tetsu asks them if they have been using their items properly and Fukusuke misinterprets the question by saying that they just have to press the button on the steering wheel, the master asks Fukusuke to show his most used items. With embarrassment, Fukusuke reveals that his most used items are the Banana, the Giant Banana, and the Gold Banana, shocking Yūji as he justifies his choices with the fact that he likes bananas. After Master Tetsu says that Fukusuke's obsession is too much as his items cannot be thrown forwards, Yūji lists his most used items as the Red Shell, the Interrupting Frame, and Tacks. Master Tetsu analyzes Yūji's items and Yūji says that he has been feeling dissatisfied with his item set lately. Master Tetsu says that it is good as it means that he is getting better and he recommends swapping the Interrupting Frame with the Porcupuffer, but also tells him to try a variety of items and points out how there are also items exclusive to some characters. Fukusuke states that he should use banana items less and says to Tetsu that he does not know how to get more items. Yūji then tells Fukusuke that he can get more items by using the slot at the end of a race after collecting 50 Mario Coins, and Fukusuke says that he does not care if he loses the race and that he just wants more Mario Coins, before changing his mind when Master Tetsu tells him that he will get more Mario Coins if he wins a race.

At the end of the episode, Master Tetsu gives to readers a code for a "First Time Pack" containing the Purple Strike and various items.

Episode 5

(Master it and be invincible! The deadly "Dragon Drift"!)

Yūji frustratingly tells Master Tetsu that he lost in a race before he could reach level shodan to a player named "Makichī", who is often matched up with him, because they avoided his Red Shell before the finish line by zigzagging to maintain their shield. When Yūji asks Tetsu about this technique, he says that it is known as the "Dragon Drift", and Yūji begs the master to teach it to him. Master Tetsu explains that it is a difficult technique allowing a player to keep their shield in straightaways, and explains how to do it. After Tetsu performs the technique for the apprentices, they remain shocked and the master explains that the way the kart moves is why it is called Dragon Drift. Despite the advantages, Master Tetsu states that the kart will go slower when performing the technique and recommends doing it when they sense that an opponent is about to attack. As Yūji struggles to perform the technique, he says that he will put all of his pocket money into practicing the Dragon Drift, while Fukusuke performs it easily, surprising both Yūji and Tetsu.

Episode 6

(Forget snacks, but absolutely do not forget the course map!)

Yūji and Fukusuke arrive at the dojo only to find that Master Tetsu is missing. On the ground, they find the course map of Splash Circuit and a letter from Tetsu, in which he explains that he went to the United States of America to check on the state of the international version of Mario Kart Arcade GP DX and that he left some course maps for them to study on in the meantime. As Yūji remarks that the map is not enough, a girl appears and says that they seem to be in trouble before she presents herself as Master Tetsu's daughter Maki. Yūji is surprised in finding out that the master has a daughter, and Maki decides to explain the map of Splash Circuit for them as not only she knows about the game, but she made the course map herself, surprising both Yūji and Fukusuke once again. After Maki's explanation, the students are very shocked at the amount of information given and jokingly think to themselves that they do not need a master anymore, before Maki says that if they do not know the Dragon Drift they can practice, making Yūji think about how she knows that.

Episode 7

(Is the next curve right or left...... Put the course map firmly in the head!)

Yūji and Fukusuke confusingly find the dojo open without Master Tetsu again and notice another course map, this time of Omatsuri Circuit. Maki notices the students and tells them that her father is at work as he works at the dojo for free, surprising Fukusuke. Since it would be a shame for the apprentices to go back home and Maki is free, she decides to explain the map of Omatsuri Circuit. After the students remain shocked once again at the end, Yūji says that it is difficult to remember the curve after the underwater section, and Maki says that with practice it will be easier to remember. Yūji later thinks to himself that he feels embarrassed about being taught by a girl, and Maki says they should be willing to learn from anyone if they want to become better, shocking Yūji as he thinks that she read his mind.

Episode 8

(Items, boosts, and Dragon Drift...... Use everything to capture Bowser's Castle!)

Maki tells Yūji and Fukusuke that they are going to learn about a difficult course, Bowser's Castle, which they both struggle at. After Maki states that she had choosen it so that they could learn to "capture" it, she starts explaining the course. When the students mention that there is a lot to remember after the explanation, Maki says that there is more than just her strategy and they should also try other ones to get better, and the apprentices go practice.

Episode 9

(Manage the items you possess and aim at becoming the Bakusō King!)

Yūji and Fukusuke tell Master Tetsu that they are going to participate in the "Bakusō King Championship". Yūji states that he will show off the results of the practice he has done, while Fukusuke is not confident but was convinced by Yūji to participate. During the conversation, Fukusuke asks Tetsu to teach him some special moves. Master Tetsu decides to teach his apprentices about how some items can be thrown backwards, which they did not know, by taking their foot off the accelerator before throwing an item. Afterwards, the master states that choosing items is the most difficult part of the game and recommends those that can be thrown in both directions. However, Fukusuke remarks that he does not have all items, and Master Tetsu says he should choose Fire Mario or Ice Luigi for their Double Fireball and Ice Ball Special Items. Fukusuke thanks the master and says he will try his best to get the participation prize before Yūji embarassingly tells him that anyone can get one.

Episode 10

(Do not give up even at the last minute! Make excellent use of your techniques and aim at becoming the Bakusō King!)

Master Tetsu notices that Yūji is continuously groaning and asks Fukusuke if something is wrong with him, to which Fukusuke responds by saying that he has been acting like a skunk. Yūji responds by saying that he is in a bad condition and then clarifies that he is feeling nervous because the day of the competition is approaching, which is making him hit walls while playing. He asks the master for advice on how to avoid these mistakes, and Tetsu feels cornered as this is the hardest question he has ever received since the dojo started, before he answers by stating that they can change the direction of the kart while doing a Jump Drift by quickly pressing on the brakes. While the students remain surprised, Master Tetsu says that the important thing is to not give up when making a mistake, since by not giving up they will have a change to catch up with their rivals. After Yūji thanks the master and Tetsu encourages him, Fukusuke says to Tetsu that he can change the direction of the kart by using a banana, before Yūji tells Fukusuke that he actually just spun out from one. Master Tetsu then ends the lesson by saying to his apprentices that not only it is important to win the race, but also to enjoy it.

Episode 11

Just a little introduction!)

Master Tetsu mentions that Yūji and Fukusuke have made it though the preliminary rounds for the "Bakusō King Championship". Maki states that she is surprised that even Fukusuke did it while she congratulates both and Fukusuke says that it was thanks to his "banana scattering strategy" (which almost caught Yūji too) that he won in the final race. After Master Tetsu remarks how joyful it is to see his students advance, he rewards them by revealing that they will get a special kart every time they complete every region in National Battle and by telling them about mirror courses. After Yūji and Fukusuke comment on these facts, Yūji states that he is going to practice for the finals, before he remembers that he never has enough pocket money. Lastly, Maki asks her father for her New Year's gift, and he tells her that it is still December.

Episode 12

(Merry Christmas! A gift from Santa Tetsu!)

Master Tetsu asks Yūji and Fukusuke if they are enjoying the game, and they answer by saying that they just completed the Shikoku and Kyushu and Okinawa regions respectively. Maki tells them that they can practice a mirror course by pressing the Mario button on the course selection screen and Fukusuke says that they can get a local title by completing a region, followed by him saying that is favorite is "Castella is delicious!" which makes him hungry.
