Up 'n' Down with Puffy Lifts is a course in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is found in Fluff-Puff Peaks and is unlocked after clearing Condarts Away! A Wonder Packun prevents access to the course however, and can only be rid of if the players have at least nine Fluff-Puff Peaks Wonder Seeds. As its name suggests, this course features lots of Puffy Lifts, stretchy platforms that sink when something is atop them. Completion of this course unlocks Fluff-Puff Peaks Flying Battleship. The difficulty of this course is two stars, and it houses two Wonder Seeds.

Layout

The players start at an area where then can observe Green Koopa Troopas spawn from a pipe, causing them to land and crush a Pink Puffy Lift. There is then long semisolid platform with some Brick Blocks and a ? Block are, with a Red Koopa Troopa is atop of. There is then a long thin Pink Puffy Lift where a Green Koopa Paratroopa bounces on. Afterwards is a gap followed by a tall Pink Puffy Lift close to a pipe that spawns Spike Balls. The players must lower the Puffy Lift to be able to enter a small passage to the right of it. There is then a "staircase" of three Pink Puffy Lifts where a Spike Ball rolls downwards to the left. Solid Ground is then found, where two more Red Koopa Troopas are, as well as the Checkpoint Flag.

Beyond the Checkpoint Flag are two Goombrats and a Pink Puffy Lift, with one of the Goombrats on top of it. There is also a pipe blocked by Brick Blocks, and once the blocks are destroyed the pipe will rise up and bush out water, allowing the players to water a nearby dried Wow Bud if they are in Elephant Form. Two Pink Puffy Lifts in the air leading to higher ground are found afterwards, with a pipe that spawns Green Koopa Troopas behind them. There is then a pipe high up in a wall that spawns Goombrats, which cover up a Yellow Puffy Lift that stretches upwards to a high up semisolid platform where the Wonder Flower is. After collecting it, the players become Puffy Lifts and must navigate higher up by using semisolid platforms. This Wonder Effect also has a time limit of ninety seconds. There are. pipes that spawn Spike Balls, which are unable to harm the players and can be used to destroy Brick Blocks. The Wonder Seed is found at the top behind Brick Blocks, and obtaining it will end the Wonder Effect and turn the players back to normal. A Yellow Puffy Lift found afterwards will take the players back downwards, where two more Red Koopa Troopas are. The players must then navigate across Pink Puffy Lifts across spikes and gaps while avoiding Spike Balls from a pipe. The Goal Pole is found afterwards, with a long thin Yellow Puffy Lift above spikes leading to it, predated by a pipe that spawns Spike Balls.

Hidden Character Blocks

10-flower coins

  • 10-flower coin 1: Found not far into the course, underneath a semisolid platform. The players must use a nearby Puffy Lift to descend to the coin, but Brick Blocks cover the Puffy Lift, and so they must be destroyed, either by a Koopa Troopa Shell, a Ground Pound, or by striking them while in Elephant Form.
  • 10-flower coin 2: Found in an area where there is a tall Pink Puffy Lift close to a pipe that spawns Spike Balls. The players must cause the Puffy Lift to disappear by shortening it into the ground so that a Spike Ball can reach to a glowing spot in the ground. After it does so, the 10-flower Coin will appear surrounded by a ring of coins, which all fall to the ground.
  • 10-flower coin 3: Found above a pit past the Checkpoint Flag and Wonder Flower. The players must lower a nearby Pink Puffy Lift to provide an opening to throw a Koopa Troopa shell at the coin, obtaining it for the players.
