Circuits Chapter 4: The Secret Trick

The Long Jump is an event in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 in the Tokyo '64 subcategory. Athletes get a 25m lane to speed up, and can choose to launch their jump within the last 4m before the step bar. Each athlete gets three attempts and the lengths are given in three decimals.

The judges consider early jumps that landed before the step bar to be the counting jumps, so athletes cannot perform two jumps in the same attempt.

Loss scenarios

  • If the player does not release Single Joy-Con Bottom Button/B Button, the athlete will skyrocket almost 90° into the air. If done at high enough speed, the athlete will make a crater in the sandpit when landing before the 3m mark. The judges will however consider it a valid jump.
  • If the player does not press Single Joy-Con Bottom Button/B Button at all, the athlete will run partway onto the sandpit and a foul is called.
