Bird (minigame)
Bird is Pyoro's minigame in the Wii U game, Game & Wario. It is a single-player game and a recreation of Pyoro from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! and its DSiWare remake, Bird & Beans.
Gameplay
The TV screen shows the scene with Pyoro walking on soil blocks, with green, white and yellow beans falling, in a claymation style. The screen shows the same scene, styled as a Game & Watch.
The player must move Pyoro around the place, eating the beans that fall from the sky. To do so, Pyoro can only stretch his tongue diagonally, aiming to touch them with it. The number of points the player gets for eating a bean depends on how far from the ground it was when it was caught. Golden beans occur at the same point milestones as in the original Pyoro minigame, at 5,000 points, 7,000, and for every additional 1,000 points from 9,000 onwards. For every 10,000 points, a large token appears: If Pyoro eats it, the player gets an additional token to use on the Cluck-A-Pop.
If the player lets a bean touch a soil block, it bursts and the block disappears. White beans, if eaten, cause a Tenshi to appear and bring a block back. Rare yellow beans also appear and cause many Tenshi to fill every missing block. The floor is composed of 12 blocks in total, far fewer than the Mega Microgame$! and Bird & Beans versions, which have 20 and 30 blocks forming the floor, respectively. Letting a bean hit Pyoro will result in a Game Over.
To match the GamePad's simplified gameplay view, the vertical range in which eating a bean gives 1,000 points has been increased compared to the original minigame, while Pyoro himself is slower to move and turn around.
