Bēda Capsule
Mario becomes Mega Mario
First appearance Super Mario-kun volume 1 (1991)
Effect Turns Mario into Mega Mario

The Bēda Capsule is a hypothetical power-up that appears in Super Mario-kun volume 1 as the last new power-up Mario comes across in the hypothetical Super Mario Bros. 5. The capsule looks like a laser pointer with a face with its tongue sticking out on the top and a button directly under it that activates the transformation.

After being beaten by Bowser's new Koopa Clown Car, Isshī passes Mario the Bēda Capsule, transforming him into Mega Mario.
