- In the Nintendo Direct broadcast on September 14, 2023, Wave 6 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass and remakes for Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door were revealed, as well as more footage and details on the Super Mario RPG remake, WarioWare: Move It!, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, and the game starring Princess Peach, now entitled Princess Peach: Showtime! (pictured). In addition, the Nintendo Museum, a gallery in Kyoto, Japan which will display "a wide variety of Nintendo products from the company's history", was announced to be completed by March 2024.
- On September 11, 2023, Nintendo announced that no new content will be added to Mario Kart Tour as of the start of the Battle Tour on October 4.
- On September 7, 2023, following the announcement that Charles Martinet is no longer doing voice work in Super Mario games, Nintendo shared a video message on social media in which Martinet talks alongside Shigeru Miyamoto about his new role at the company as "Mario Ambassador".
- From September 1 through September 4, 2023, the Nintendo Live 2023 event was held at the Seattle Convention Center in Seattle, Washington. The event hosted several Super Mario–related attractions, including photo ops with various characters, demo booths of the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder game, and live performances of music from across Super Mario games provided by the Super Mario Super Big Band. The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 tournament, which took place at Nintendo Live 2023 on September 2, concluded with player Kevo as the winner.
