Clawdaddy are cloud-like crabs that inhabit the jungles of Yoshi's Island. They are immune to everything but eggs, and must be hit by three to be defeated. Clawdaddy rush towards a target once the target is spotted, then enlarges a claw before spinning it.

Clawdaddy teams up with Prince Froggy during the events of Tetris Attack. However, it first appears in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
