Hello, all of you readers of The 'Shroom! We're back from the movie theater, but we've already set our sights on another theater, that being the Awards Theater! If you get that joke, you're probably familiar with our annual ceremonies and with our Awards season in general. If you don't, well, what I mean is that our Awards season is in full swing, with a few games and tournaments happening or planned already, and folks across the community already working on their presentations for the ceremonies. By the time this issue releases, we'll only be a few days out from the first presentation check-in, actually, so don't forget to give your presentations some attention (if you haven't started yet, now is a good time to schedule some time for those).
We hope to see you at the ceremonies in August, but, while you're getting excited about Awards, don't forget about The 'Shroom's rapidly-approaching milestone. We're not far from November, now, which means we aren't far from issue 200. We're still accepting submissions for issue 200, so write up your idea and send it in! If you're having trouble, whether at the idea stage or with something technical like learning wiki formatting, reach out. We're here to help you!
Yes, there's plenty to look forward to in the next few months, but there are also plenty of sections in this issue worth looking at now! I won't keep you from delving into the rest of the issue, myself, so let me briefly turn it over to Waluigi Time.

Hello there, 'Shroom readers! I'm supposed to write something here! I guess I can shill for Aw- oh wait, Pitohui already did that. Uhh, Issue 200! Wait, he did that too? Dang it Pitohui, stop stealing my act!
Well, you know, I don't think it can be stressed enough that writing for The 'Shroom is, to paraphrase Shoey, a cool and good activity for cool and good people. As a matter of fact, we have a lot of cool and good people writing for The 'Shroom right now, many of whom you will see throughout this issue! Wouldn't you like to join those ranks? I bet you would, which is why you should check out our sign up page to get all the details you need about writing an application.
But maybe you're thinking, "Waluigi Time, I'd love to be one of those cool and good people, but I don't have time to commit to writing on a schedule!" Well, you don't have to! We're open to volunteer submissions so you can just submit when you have the ideas and free time to write, whether they're just one-offs or recurring. Some of us even take sections that you don't have to apply for! I take all kinds of of stuff over in Fake News, and I hear FunkyK38 (talk) and Hypnotoad (talk) are always looking for art showcases and reviews over in Palette Swap and Critic Corner, respectively. Just shoot one of us a message and we'll help you out.
