Are the coins lost forever if you don’t collect them right after Chapter 6, or are they lost forever solely from not giving him any money?

He does give coins as described in the article if you speak to him any time after Chapter 6 including post-game, and of course he doesn't give any coins if you don't pay him. Nightwicked Bowser 17:08, July 4, 2023 (EDT)

Other people say the coins are easily permanently missable content, so it sounds to me like you must collect them at a certain point after chapter 6 or he will not give them to you.
