- The man-eating fish enemy from Super Mario 64 (pictured), localized in English as "Bubba", is actually Cheep Chomp with an early design.
- Several voice actors of the Donkey Kong Country TV series reprised their roles in the fanmade short DKC: Return to Krocodile Isle. Said voice actors are Richard Yearwood (Donkey Kong), Benedict Campbell (King K. Rool), Andrew Truss (General Klump), and Ron Rubin (Captain Skurvy).
- Pipsy's spot in the roster of Diddy Kong Racing was originally intended for a boxing kangaroo named "Roo".
- According to Colonel Roy Campbell in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wario is smelly because he eats whole cloves of garlic constantly.
